Gallup Poll: Library Visits Outpaced Trips to Movies in 2019

According to a recent Gallup Poll, “U.S. adults took an average of 10.5 trips to the library in 2019 – more than any other leisure activity, including going to the movies.” The poll also showed that young adults aged 18 to 29 visit the library more than any other age group.

Public libraries are often among the few truly public spaces in American communities where all are welcome to learn and connect with others.
