Founded in 1996, the Long Beach Public Library Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that provides support to the Long Beach Public Library through the procurement of private funds.

The Library Foundation's mission is to provide support to enhance the Long Beach Public Library and encourage literacy and education for all members of the community.  Tax I.D. #33-0698704

Online Shopping for Your Favorite Library!
 The Library book budget has been drastically cut back the Library is in need of books.  Next time you are doing your online shopping, why not pick up an extra book for your favorite library?  Just shop from the Library's Wish List .  In addition, once you have read a book, be sure you donate it to the Library so others can enjoy it too!  Due to staff cutbacks, book donations must be made at Main Library in downtown Long Beach.  Call us for easy drop-off instructions.

Become a fan of our Facebook page and get updates on what's happening at the Foundation.  We have over 400 followers, and have set a goal to get to 1,000!   Make sure you "LIKE" our page and spread the word to your friends!
