Annual Impact Reports
In 2020, the Long Beach Public Library Foundation celebrated many accomplishments including the completion of the New Main Campaign with more than $3.3 million raised for the Billie Jean King Main Library. We also supported online resources to make virtual literacy and educational programs possible during the pandemic. Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of supporters, we contributing $1,579,122 directly to educational programs and Library enhancements that year. The Library Foundation’s robust financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator, and the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. These are the highest rankings awarded by each of these organizations.
