Support Us

The Library Foundation provides support and oversees programs designed to promote literacy, academic success, self-help learning and free access to current technologies. Through the "Lights On After School Annual Campaign", funds are raised each year to fund Homework Helpers in each neighborhood library Family Learning Center, programs such as Raising A Reader Long Beach, Dictionary Day, Long Beach Reads One Book, Foundation operations and much more. One-time gifts and pledges are accepted. No gift is too small.

Levels of Giving

$5,000 BENEFACTOR
Pays for college trained "HOMEWORK HELPERS" for one week at all 12 neighborhood libraries.

$2,500 CONSERVATORY PARTNER
Provides for one month of computer cost at all 12 FAMILY LEARNING CENTERS.

$1,000 LITERARY PARTNER
Pays for books and materials for 100 L.B.U.S.D. students during “Long Beach Reads One Book”

$750 TECHNOLOGY PARTNER
Provides for another computer to our Raising A Reader LAPTOP LITERACY program.

$500 CORNERSTONE PARTNER
Provides a new book a year in PERPETUITY through our Gutenberg Society.

$250 COLLECTOR PARTNER
Provides Raising A Reader graduates with books to initiate their family library.

$150 CENTURY PLUS
Provides Raising A Reader books and materials for one family.
